In this blogpost you could read about the events and stops during our Jeepsafari in Alanya. I did also leave a lead as to what we did during the ride in which I wrote: “I had had enough water for the day” and that “I tried to dry in the sun”.

Incredibly ignorant and completely unsuspecting we got into our jeep and were looking forward for a quite and relaxing trip up into the mountains.

Looking back I feel a bit stupid and naive, but the travelagency’s excursion description revealed nothing about the setup of the trip. Soon we would know better.

Suddenly we were handed lots of bottles with water and pierced caps. Weird, I though to myself. Don’t they think we’re able to unscrew the caps when thirsty? Thankfully I never got the chance to drink the water, though I was naive enough to believe so. It was local and they were never intended for drinking. They were meant for something completely different.

Haha.

At the small meeting at the beginning of the trip we were told there would be a waterfight on the trip. Fine, I thought, I can just stay away from it.

That you had no chance of. Especially not when sitting in the photographer’s car and the waterfight is going on during the trip! Very quickly we turned out to be the absolutely wettest and were soaked in water since we drove up on the site of the other cars all of the time because the photographer were taking picture. Fuck fuck fuck.

Me, the one who’s very much NOT a fan of waterfights, in the middle of all of this. Haha.

Though I’m not the biggest fan of waterfights this turned out to be the best trip ever. We had so much fun. On the way 3 Libanese guys jumped aboard our jeep and they really made our trip special. Though they barely spoke English and we didn’t speak Arabian at all we managed to communicate through handsigns and specifically chosen words.

Say hello to Ali, Kasim and Mohammad. What lads they were. They clearly made the waterdoses worse on our behalf but they also made the contest fairer against the other jeeps.

All in all an incredible trip which I can only recommend doing when visiting Alanya!! This clearly were our highlight during our vacation.
